Many different types of festivals take place in Ireland. These types of festivals include music, food, and culture, Festivals can be a great way to meet new people who have a similar interest to you and can also be very enjoyable.
Some festivals last 3 days and others may just be one. There are festivals with camping which can be a great experience as you can wake up in the morning at the festival. It’s a great way of seeing several of your favourite artists, bands, or DJs on the same day. This festival takes place on the 22nd of February – 2nd of March. This is a festival focused on the best contemporary and classic movies. It is very well known to other countries and showcases Ireland to the world. This festival is for everyone as it includes a wide variety of films and creates an exciting film culture in Dublin.
2. St. Patricks Day Festival
This festival is a one-day festival that takes place on St. Patrick’s Day. This festival is slightly different than others as there are several festivals around the country to celebrate this day. This festival is based around St. Patrick and the Irish culture. There are activities, parades, music and much more all representing the culture. The biggest festival would be in Co. Dublin.
3. Electric Picnic
Electric Picnic is the biggest music festival that takes place in Ireland. It is a three-day festival filled with music, amusements, food, and activities. This festival is for all ages, it’s even suitable for families. This is a camping festival, and you can even bring your caravan. It takes place in Stradbally, Co. Laois. There are artists from all over the world that come to perform. They even have rave sessions in the woods which is great for all the techno lovers.

This is a Christmas festival that takes place in the city centre of Co. Waterford. It is a very famous festival that many people from other countries travel to Ireland to see. This is a food festival that takes place in Dublin City every year at the beginning of June. This festival is filled with tasty food, live music, and celebrity chef performances. It is in the Iveagh Garden’s in Dublin. It provides all types of cuisine including, Irish, Indian, Middle Eastern, Italian, and much more. They even have classes where you can learn new skills such as a cocktail masterclass.
